How much it costs to rent a dunk tank
Our dunk tank is $315, and the price is the same for any rental up to 12 hours. It needs no outlet. What it does need is your hose, your water, a 15 ft square and close to an hour to fill.
A bounce house needs an outlet within 100 ft. The dunk tank needs none. Its planning is all in the water: 550 gallons from your hose before anyone sits on the seat.
The price by length of rental
- Up to 12 hours: $315.
- 13 to 16 hours: $340.
- A full day: $365.
- 2 days: $465. 3 days: $565.
- A week: $965.
Our FAQ prices inflatables for a standard rental of up to 6 hours. The dunk tank's price does not move until the 13th hour, so a school carnival that runs from morning to evening costs the same $315 as a short birthday party. After a full day, each extra day adds $100, up to five days at $765.
Setup and takedown are included in the rental price, and delivery is charged on top, based on the miles to your event location. The deposit is 50% of the order, on a credit card, and the rest is due at delivery.
What you get
The product page describes a 550 gallon tank with a huge window for pictures, and we provide 3 balls with it.
Customers write about it. Google groups our reviews by topic, and as of October 8, 2026, dunk tank is third on that list with 16 mentions, behind inflatables and bounce house. The review on the product page itself came from a team event:
"This was also great for our team! They all enjoyed getting to dunk each other. It worked well and was easy to reset."
Laura, review on our Dunk Tank page, July 13, 2025Water, and the hour it takes
"Tank takes 45 - 60 minutes to fill. Customer must provide the water and the hose to fill it, but we provide 3 balls."
KidZone Party Rentals, Dunk Tank pageYour hose has to reach the spot where the tank will sit, and the water is yours, so a venue without an outside spigot needs a plan before the day. The fill is also part of your schedule. A tank that starts filling at noon is ready somewhere between 12:45 and 1:00.
Water weighs a little over 8 pounds a gallon, so a full tank is holding more than two tons. Pick the spot before the hose goes in.
Space and power
The listed space is 15 ft by 15 ft, and the page adds a warning: "The tank is very big and must be able to fit in the area of the event." The outlet field on the page reads 0, so the tank needs no power.
That helps most at a park. An inflatable there needs a 110V outlet within 100 ft or our $250 generator. The dunk tank needs neither, though you still need water on site. Our FAQ's park advice is written for inflatables, and it is worth following for a dunk tank too: contact the park in advance, since a permit can take as many as 10 days to process. Ask about water while you are at it.
Fundraisers, and the number to beat
Our large carnivals page lists dunk tanks first under Fundraisers and Block Parties, for "non-profit fundraisers, school PTOs, and neighborhood block parties that need to attract a crowd." The schools and churches page names them for church festivals, VBS celebrations and youth group events.
If the tank is there to raise money, $315 plus delivery is the number to beat. At $1 a throw, the rental is covered after 315 throws. At $5 for the three balls, it takes 63 turns.
Someone has to run the line and hand the balls back. If you would rather not use volunteers, our event attendants are $75 an hour, and the large carnivals page describes them as there "to manage queues and operate equipment."
For a table next to the tank, each of our concession machines (cotton candy, popcorn and snow cone) is from $115.
Where the real answer lives
The product page is the authority, and prices change. When you ask for a quote, tell us the hours and where the nearest spigot is, and ask about anything the page does not cover, such as who can sit on the seat.
Common questions
How much does it cost to rent a dunk tank?
Our dunk tank is $315 for any rental up to 12 hours. It is $340 for 13 to 16 hours and $365 for a full day. Setup and takedown are included, and delivery is charged on top, based on the miles to your event location.
How long does it take to fill a dunk tank?
Our dunk tank holds 550 gallons and takes 45 to 60 minutes to fill. You provide the water and the hose, so count the fill into your schedule and check that your hose reaches the spot.
How much space does a dunk tank need?
The product page lists a space of 15 ft by 15 ft. It also says the tank is very big and must be able to fit in the area of the event, so measure the spot before you book.
Does a dunk tank need electricity?
No. The outlet field on our dunk tank page reads 0. It needs a water supply and a hose, which you provide.
Can I keep the dunk tank overnight or for a weekend?
Yes. A rental of 13 to 16 hours is $340 and a full day is $365. Two days is $465 and three days is $565, so each extra day adds $100.
How much should we charge per throw at a fundraiser?
That is your call. For scale, the tank is $315 before delivery, so at $1 a throw it takes 315 throws to cover the rental, and at $5 for three balls it takes 63 turns.
Every price, size and requirement on this page was read from our own product page, audience pages and FAQ on October 8, 2026. The weight of water is the one figure from outside our site. Our catalog changes, so the product page is the current authority.
