How much it costs to rent a water slide

Our water slides run from $325 to $650, and that price covers up to 6 hours with setup and takedown included. The two cheapest slides need more ground than any other slide we rent.

We rent 13 stand-alone water slides, from a 16 ft single lane to a 24 ft slide with a 15 ft platform. Every price below comes from its product page. Delivery is charged on top of all of them, and our FAQ says that fee is based on the miles to your event location.

Every slide, by price

  • $325: the 16 ft Mermaid Plunge and the 16 ft Caustic Drop. Both are single lane slides with a 10 ft platform.
  • $350: the 30 ft Surf The Wave, a slip and slide 8 ft high that two people can run at once.
  • $415: the 16 ft Double Lane Splash, where two kids climb a wall and slide down two at a time.
  • $475: the 17 ft Big Kahuna.
  • $495: the 18 ft Tropical Paradise, which takes two riders at the same time, and the 18 ft Fiesta Breeze, which ends in a pool.
  • $575: the 18 ft Gamer and the 18 ft USA Double Lane, both with a pool, and the 20 ft Fire N Ice, which has platforms at 9 ft and 12 ft.
  • $585: the 20 ft Ocean Rush and the 20 ft Wild Wave, both double lane.
  • $650: the 24 ft Raging River, a single lane slide with a 15 ft platform.

The whole range is on our water slides page, alongside the wet combos and the dunk tank.

What the price covers

Each price is for up to 6 hours, and the product pages show the same figure for a 3 hour rental as for a 6 hour one. So a short party does not bring the price down, and it makes sense to book the full window.

Past 6 hours, every slide adds $50 an hour, except Surf The Wave, which adds $25. Twelve hours on a 16 ft slide is $625, and twelve hours on the Raging River is $950. Our FAQ says overnight is possible for an additional charge.

Setup and takedown are included in the rental price. The deposit is 50% of the order, secured on a credit card, and the rest is due at delivery.

What the extra money buys

Across the range, the higher prices go with more height, a second lane or a pool at the bottom.

The two $325 slides and the $650 Raging River are single lane slides. Six slides take two riders at once: the 16 ft Double Lane Splash, the 18 ft Tropical Paradise, Gamer and USA Double Lane, and the 20 ft Ocean Rush and Wild Wave. The Gamer's page puts the case for the second lane plainly: it helps more people enjoy the slide in less time, which it calls especially useful for bigger groups.

Our FAQ's rider guideline for an 18 ft slide is one rider at a time at every age. The FAQ calls these numbers a guideline and points to the unit itself for the specific limit, so check the unit on the day.

The cheapest slides need the most room

This is the figure most worth checking before you choose. The two 16 ft slides at $325 list a space required of 30 ft by 50 ft, more ground than any other slide that publishes a figure. The 24 ft Raging River lists 50 ft by 20 ft, the 20 ft double lanes 40 ft by 18 ft, and Surf The Wave 40 ft by 15 ft.

Our FAQ gives 32 ft by 15 ft as a general guide for most slides, but the product page figure is specific to the unit, so measure against that. The space guide covers how to measure the yard.

Water, power and the lawn

You supply the water. The Caustic Drop, Mermaid Plunge and Raging River pages all ask for a water hose that reaches the slide, and the USA Double Lane page asks you to provide the garden hose.

Power follows our FAQ: the slide should be within 100 ft of a 110V outlet. We bring the power cord, and we ask that nothing else is plugged into the outlet it uses. For a park without an outlet, our generator is $250. It is a 5,500 watt generator that can power up to 3 inflatables, on a tank of gas that lasts up to 6 hours. Many parks need a permit for an inflatable, and our FAQ notes that approval can take as long as 10 days.

"If you have a waterslide rental, don't water your lawn for a few days before your party. Waterslides use a lot of water, and if your grass needs it, it will absorb it a lot better if it is dry."

KidZone Party Rentals FAQ

The same FAQ asks you to mow the day before rather than the morning of, and to make sure an in-ground sprinkler timer is not set to go on.

Who each slide suits

Most slide pages do not publish an age range, but a few say who they are built for. The USA Double Lane is described as large enough for adults. The 16 ft Double Lane Splash is for kids and adults. Surf The Wave is, in its page's words, one of our most popular inflatables for ages 8 and up, and one customer's review on that page is more specific:

"There were a couple of kids 6 and under. They couldn't jump onto it well to slide. Highly recommend for 10 years and up."

Laura, product review, July 13, 2025

For younger children, look at the $369 wet Splash combos. There are 18 of them, each a bounce house with a slide, booked wet, and the Caustic Drop Splash page describes it as a wet slide for participants under the age of 13. The bounce house or combo guide covers how those compare with a dry combo.

Two setups, priced

  • A backyard birthday, 6 hours: the 16 ft Mermaid Plunge at $325, if the yard has 30 ft by 50 ft to give it.
  • A company picnic, 8 hours: the 20 ft Ocean Rush at $685, the price its page lists for 8 hours, with two lanes to keep the line moving.

Both are before delivery. If you want water without a slide, our Dunk Tank is $315 and stays at that price for up to 12 hours. It holds 550 gallons and takes 45 to 60 minutes to fill. You provide the water and the hose, and we provide 3 balls.

When the weather turns

Our FAQ's weather policy says bouncers cannot be used in winds of 20 mph or more, and cannot be used in the rain, so plan a water slide around the same forecast. If the weather looks unsafe before delivery, we call you and discuss whether to cancel and reschedule. The deposit is non-refundable, but it can be applied to a future event. If we set up and the weather turns later, we pick the unit up as scheduled, and no refund is given in that case.

Where the real answer lives

The product page is the authority for the slide you want: its price, its hours and its space required. When you ask for a quote, send the space you have and how far the hose and the nearest outlet are from it.

Common questions

How much does it cost to rent a water slide?

Our water slides run from $325 for the 16 ft Caustic Drop and 16 ft Mermaid Plunge to $650 for the 24 ft Raging River. The 20 ft double lane slides are $585 and most 18 ft slides are $495 or $575. Those prices cover up to 6 hours, with setup and takedown included. Delivery is charged on top, based on the miles to your event location.

How long is a water slide rental?

The listed price covers up to 6 hours, and it is the same price whether you keep the slide for 3 hours or 6. Each hour after that adds $50 on our slides, or $25 on the 30 ft Surf The Wave. Twelve hours on a 16 ft slide comes to $625. Overnight is available for an additional charge.

What do I need to provide for a water slide?

A water hose that reaches the slide, and a 110V outlet within 100 ft of it with nothing else plugged in. We supply the power cord. Our FAQ also asks you not to water the lawn for a few days before the party, because water slides use a lot of water and dry grass absorbs it better, and to mow the day before.

How much space does a water slide need?

It depends on the slide. Our FAQ gives 32 ft by 15 ft as a guide for most slides, but each product page lists its own space required, and that is the number to measure against. The two 16 ft slides at $325 need 30 ft by 50 ft, the 24 ft Raging River needs 50 ft by 20 ft, and the 20 ft double lane slides need 40 ft by 18 ft.

Can adults use the water slides?

Some pages say so directly. The 18 ft USA Double Lane is described as large enough for adults, the 16 ft Double Lane Splash is for kids and adults, and on the 30 ft Surf The Wave kids and adults can run two at a time. Check the rider limit on the unit itself, which our FAQ says is the number that counts.

What happens if it rains?

Our FAQ's weather policy says bouncers cannot be used in the rain or in winds of 20 mph or more, so plan a water slide around the same forecast. If the forecast looks unsafe before delivery, we call you to discuss cancelling and rescheduling, and a deposit can be applied to a future event. If the weather turns after we set up, we pick the unit up as scheduled and no refund is given.

Every price, size and rule on this page was read from our own product pages and FAQ on September 30, 2026. Our catalog changes, so the individual product page is the current authority for the slide you want.
